Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 2007 Buick Terraza

Speaker 1: Today in our 2007 Buick Terrazza, we'll be having a look at and installing the current T connector vehicle wiring harness for four pull flat trailer connector, part number 56077.Here's what our wiring looks like installed. As you can see, it's designed to be stored inside our vehicle when it's not in use in order to protect it from the elements. We have this nice dust cover that's built on to it, which will keep dirt and debris out of our connector when it's not in use. When we're ready to tow our trailer, we simply just drap our wiring down next to our hitch, keeping it away from out hatch latch. As you can see, we have an adequate length of wire here to hook up to our trailers wiring. Now this gives us all the functions that we need that are required by law in order to safely tow a trailer. more

Today we are going to install part number 118396 from Tow Ready. We are going to install this T-1 harness on a 2005 Buick Terraza. And also, we are going to use a bracket, part number 118144. First we will install our bracket. It is going to install to the factory bracket that is on the hitch. Now this bracket here, it can be installed like this on the hitch. Or, if you did not have a bracket on the hitch, you could easily attach this to the bumper. We will go ahead and start installing our T-1 connector. And we do have to get the tail lights off the vehicle, so we have to open up the back hatch to get to the screws to take off the tail lights. We will take off these two screws right here and then we just pop the whole assembly off. Once you have the tail light loose, go ahead and disconnect it from the wire harness. It is this connection right here you want to take apart. And then go ahead and repeat the same steps for the other side. more
